Born in Kenya and raised in a refugee camp, Mohamed and his family have gained a distinct knowledge of what it's like to be constantly on the move. In this book, we take a deep dive into the psyche of a boy who grows up without getting the chance to get accustomed to any specific home, state of mind, or state of emotion. Temporary homes is a collection of poems by Mohamed Warsame that showcases the idea of humanity as nothing but fleeting feelings and mere moments.
Mohamed Warsame was hosted at the Daybreak Bookshop for a Poetry Showcase on June 11, 2021. You can view photos from the event here.
